Prior to working for the NHS, I worked for a department store temporarily whilst applying for jobs within the NHS. I knew of the 18 week eLearning website, but came across the Cancer training through their website. I’d applied for a job within Cancer Services so enquired as to taking the training. Karen was so helpful and set me up with an account. I found the training engaging and incredibly easy to follow for someone who had no prior knowledge of the ins and outs of the NHS. Within two weeks, I had completed all the training and was able to attend my job interview with certificate in hand, I got the job.
The first few weeks in my new role went smooth and I was able to adjust easily with having the knowledge from the Cancer eLearning website. I was already aware of local and national targets, the steps within a Cancer pathway and potential issues that caused bottlenecks. Since passing my Cancer eLearning, I still use the website for reference even now. I would highly recommend Cancer eLearning.
